INVOLI has launched the G-1090, the company’s next-generation air traffic signal receiver that is designed to enable drones to fly safely alongside manned aircraft. The new receiver is weather-resistant, engineered to withstand electronic noise, and is CE/FCC-approved.

The G-1090 detects ADS-B, Mode S, Mode A/C and FLARM aviation transponder signals, and natively supports INVOLI Multilateration, enabling a comprehensive view of air traffic. The receiver can be installed within telecommunication and aviation infrastructure, and can also be mounted on a pole with an Ethernet cable providing internet connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE). The device can also optionally communicate via 4G.

All aircraft detected by the G-1090 are visible on the INVOLI.live visualization and operation platform for drones. Aircraft data can also be delivered directly to third-party software by using the INVOLI API.

Raphael Zaugg, CTO of INVOLI, commented: “We wanted to provide a receiver that allows our clients to increase their air traffic awareness in the simplest way, with a quality/cost ratio that has not been reached before for such a product.”

Manu Lubrano, CEO of INVOLI, said: “BVLOS drone operations can be possible only when a clear picture of the surrounding area is available. We also think that while drones are establishing themselves more and more in the aviation industry, all products and services developed for the industry should respond to a better level of quality with the proper certifications and tests.”
