Anti-GPS Jamming Systems Integrated into Military-Grade Drones

GPSdome anti-jamming solutionGPSdome anti-jamming solutionEasy Aerial has integrated infiniDome’s GPSdome GNSS/GPS signal protection solution into its line of military-grade unmanned aerial systems (UAS), which are designed to provide autonomous monitoring for commercial, government, and defense applications.

The GPSdome module has been integrated into Easy Aerial’s Smart Aerial Monitoring System (SAMS) GNSS receivers, employing a unique interference filtering system that combines the patterns from two omnidirectional antennas. GPSdome analyzes interference signals in real time and feeds the results into a proprietary algorithm that filters and rejects any attacking RF interference, allowing the aircraft to continue making use of GPS signals during a jamming attack.

GPSdome was selected due to its low SWaP (size, weight and power) footprint and proven ability to detect, alert, and shield jamming signals. According to Easy Aerial, it is ideally suited for their global security and defense customers who require safe Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and other critical operations in GPS-denied environments.

Ido Gur, co-founder & CEO of Easy Aerial, commented: “We chose GPSdome because it’s a proven solution that perfectly suits the diverse missions our customers routinely fly in some of the world’s most inhospitable and hostile environments. While our systems are equipped with multiple onboard redundancies, GPS signals are vital to maintaining position, navigation, and timing accuracy, ensuring uninterrupted operation.”

Omer Sharar, CEO of infiniDome, said: “GPSdome delivers anti-jamming technology, unmatched in size, weight, power, and cost advantages. GPSdome is the industry’s only dual-use, both commercial and military, GPS anti-jamming protection. GPSdome not only detects the attack but also shields the received signals from being overpowered by jammers. These assaults can have drastic effects, including losses in property and services, as well as the potential risk to lives.”
