Elsight has confirmed that it has entered into a commercial partnership agreement with Spright, a subsidiary of Air Methods Corporation. Air Methods is a privately owned provider of air medical services in North America, delivering emergency medical services to more than 100,000 patients every year across 48 states. Spright is the wholly-owned drone division of Air Methods and was created to help solve many of the toughest time-sensitive challenges facing health services for communities across North America.
Spright’s goal is to be the largest drone operator in the medical delivery space, which will involve setting a network up across the entire United States to support their hospital partners, new partners, and laboratories to improve healthcare overall. This significant aspiration is expected to drive the strategic relationship with the company.
Elsight has been chosen to provide Spright with a reliable C2 link for all of their various platforms, such as the Wingcopter 198 aircraft. The ‘Halo’ solution will be used on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that deliver medicines, supplies and lab test specimens and also conduct infrastructure and utility inspections across the United States.
As part of the agreement to integrate Elsight’s ‘Halo’ into all aircraft operated by Spright, the company will also become an official ‘Halo’ reseller in the United States. Under the reseller terms, Spright will also perform configuration and lifecycle management on the ‘Halo’ at its US locations.
The first commercial order of ‘Halo’ units has been received upon the signing of the five-year agreement with Spright, for an initial order value of USD90,000. Spright have committed to several further orders during the term of the agreement, further displaying the strategic importance of Elsight’s ‘Design Win’ strategy.
Joe Resnik, President of Spright, commented on the partnership: “The decision to choose Elsight as our C2 link provider was an easy one, as the capabilities provided by ‘Halo’ are exactly what we were looking for from a safety and regulatory standpoint for mission continuity and scalability. Halo’s versatility as a connectivity solution is a natural fit for our needs, and we will begin deploying Halos in the United States and beyond. We will also be installing Halo kits on our ground vehicle fleet.”
Yoav Amitai, Elsight’s CEO, commented on Spright’s decision to choose Elsight: “This partnership agreement with Spright confirms our positioning of the ‘Halo’ as the ultimate drone and other unmanned connectivity solution. We are delighted to have been chosen as a partner by Spright as they deploy the ‘Halo’ to the entire drone fleets of the companies supported by Spright.”
“The flexibility inherent in the industry-agnostic ‘Halo’ means the various use cases being fielded by Spright will all be supported. We look forward to seeing Spright expand across the United States and into Europe, building a long-term positive relationship between Elsight and Spright.”
Ben Gross, Director of Marketing at Elsight, noted: “The agreement we’ve signed with Spright is confirmation of the Elsight ‘Halo’ as the premier connectivity solution available for drones and other unmanned systems. We are very happy to begin working together with Spright as they will work on deploying the ‘Halo’ to the companies which are supported by Spright. ‘Halo’ is an industry-agnostic solution and as such, supports the wide range of Spright’s use cases across different industries. We eagerly look forward to forming a relationship with Spright which is marked not just by length, but also by successful cooperation. Spright’s order is merely the first stage of a joint venture that will continue to grow, and we anticipate additional ‘Halo’ orders from Spright as they continue to expand their operations in all areas and verticals.”
