Orbital UAV Engine Delivered to Singapore Defense Company

Orbital UAV has confirmed the delivery of the first UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) engine system to one of Singapore’s largest defence companies. Orbital had previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company for the design, development and initial low rate production of a number of multi-fuel UAV engines.

Phase 1 of the MoU, which is now complete, was for the development, integration and supply of an engine system for evaluation and acceptance by the customer. Phase 2 of development, which Orbital has already begun, encompasses the supply of a small number of additional prototype engines for further evaluation requirements. Assuming the success of Phase 2, Phase 3 will see the customer authorise a low-rate production run of the multi-fuel engine.
