SOARIZON Updates Intelligent Drone Mission Map Functionality

Soarizon Drone SoftwareSoarizon Drone Software

SOARIZON has launched the biggest ever upgrade to its intelligent drone mission mapping functionality, allowing users to plan missions on the platform to an even higher level of detail and precision, with more information helping to inform risk mitigation and provide a greater degree of mission visibility.

The SOARIZON map has been completely overhauled following extensive continuous user testing and rapid prototyping, and now provides the following innovative features:

Defining mission plan areas in 3D – users can accurately define their missions by annotating flight volumes, contingency volumes and risk buffers in 3D. This new feature helps to create rich planning maps that support mission planning, in alignment with new drone regulations as well as risk assessment processes.

New map annotation tools – a new set of drawing tools allows customization by colour, title, and description to enable the creation of a rich and detailed drone plan, with the option to mark take-off and landing points on the map. Annotations can be viewed and edited in the field via mobile and tablet devices. SOARIZON Elevate and Enterprise users can edit plans collaboratively within organisations, keeping the map as a live record throughout the life-cycle of the mission.

Improved visuals – the new intuitive functionality has been specifically developed for maximum usability and ease of access.

SOARIZON is currently developing the next upgrade, which will feature the ability to import and export annotations in KML format, allowing users to share mission plans between different applications. To find out more or sign up for a free SOARIZON account, visit the website.
