Automated drone solutions are among the fastest growing sectors in the commercial drone industry. Now, the CIRC drone-in-a-box solution has arrived in Europe as a new player in the field.
Based in Taiwan, Coretronic Intelligent Robotics Corporation (CIRC), is already established in Asia as a specialist AI drone-in-a-box (DIB) provider, offering services for the security, inspection, and emergency response verticals. “CIRC is one of the only high-volume manufacturers with drone capabilities outside of China – so partners benefit from economies of scale, free from political sensitivities,” says a company press release. “Their R&D teams can design and manufacture bespoke solutions or provide ready to deploy, off the shelf solutions.”
The CIRC drone-in-a-box solution provides 5 different drone model options for different applications: security or inspection, surveying, delivery, mobile deployment, and long range vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). 2 different models of ‘nests’ for automated charging and monitoring contain heating and cooling systems that allow operations in a wide range of temperatures, from -10° to 40° C.
The solution also includes software. CIRC’s Fleet Management System (FMS) is called SkyWatch, and is designed to remotely command nad control a single drone or a fleet of hundreds: either cloud-based or on-premises for sensitive applications. Insight is CIRC’s AI-powered analytics platform, generating actionable insight from captured data.
The drone-in-a-box solution is “Designed for easy integration into new or existing systems with direct API access to all levels of the CIRC system,” says the press release. “…at the highest level to interact with the fleet management system and at the lowest to directly control sub-systems on board the drone. CIRC can tailor their off the shelf solutions to an organisations exact requirements or develop a new solution for bespoke applications.”
While CIRC solutions have been deployed around the world by governments, police forces, and multi-national corporations, CIRC’s new offices in the U.K. will bring another automated drone option to the European industry. Full system and flight demonstrations are available at their UK office in Hemel Hempstead.
