On Wednesday 8th July at 10:00 BST / 11:00 CEST, Europe’s leading provider of Rotary Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms, UMS SKELDAR, will host a webinar to formally announce its new contract win with the Belgian and Dutch Navies.

Marking the largest NATO Navy contract to date for UMS SKELDAR, the deal follows previous successes with the German Navy and Royal Canadian Navy. As part of the deal, UMS will supply ten SKELDAR V-200 VTOL platforms to probe and potentially neutralise underwater mines.

This procurement deal is the first to use the Toolbox concept, where a variety of autonomous vehicles (AVs) including UAVs and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) work in unison to fulfil a mission. The SKELDAR V-200 was selected due to its pioneering heavy fuel engine, with the first batch of ten platforms to be delivered from 2023.

The webinar will feature David Willems, VP Business Development and Strategy for UMS SKELDAR, who will be answering questions from the media

We invite all interested media to register their attendance with Alexis White on [email protected].
